Nar UK outing with Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners to “Pints and Perverts”!

**NOTE: “Pints and Perverts” is a PUBLIC event which anyone can come along to**

Following the success of the film Pride, Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners have reformed and are holding a meeting, aptly titled “Pints and Perverts”, at the London Welsh Centre on Friday March 20th from 7pm onwards, and have expressly invited US to come along and join them!

They would like to welcome anyone who wants a chance to meet some of the original members of LGSM to come along and have a drink and a chat about the film, politics, activism – and anything else!

Also it would be a great opportunity for us to all see each other’s beautiful faces again! We miss you all!!! ♥

Fun fact: they have been supporting the families of the victims of last year’s Soma mining disaster through a local Turkish LGBT organisation. Aren’t they just fantastic?!

LGSM will be meeting at the Welsh Centre a bit earlier to deal with some business tasks, so we will aim to get there for 7pm. If you want to get there earlier than 7 though – the bar in the Welsh Centre is open from 5!

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!

Nar UK march at Pride London 2014!

Pride originally started out as a protest to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in the summer of 1969.  Since then it has grown into a celebration of LGBT culture the world over and in many places is still a protest.

LGBTQ members of the Cypriot, Turkish and Kurdish Communities invite you to join us in marching at Pride London on Saturday the 28th of June 2014. We shall be meeting at 12:30pm in Baker Street, and the march shall kick off at 1pm. Our group ID is GF12, so ask one of the pride helpers for our location when you arrive. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are a group representing lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer (LGBTQ) people with a cultural or ancestral affinity to Turkey or Northern Cyprus, i.e. members of Cypriot, Turkish and Kurdish communities  (henceforth referred to as “CTK”) in the United Kingdom.
